TMEPA seeks organization associate memberships
As the association representing 60 municipal utilities that serve two-thirds of the electric customers in Tennessee, it is important for TMEPA to engage quality vendors and consultants to provide services for our member utilities.
As such, TMEPA represents the second largest public power state in the nation behind only California. With over half of its Tennessee members providing public utilities beyond electricity, TMEPA’s lobbying efforts in the state legislature include water, wastewater, broadband and natural gas. In addition, TMEPA advocates on behalf of 15 municipal utilities in Mississippi and North Carolina that are affiliate members.
This year (2022) was a great year for TMEPA with near-record attendances at its Annual Meeting and its Fall and Spring Engineering and Operations Conferences. Each of the events sold out of exhibit space. One of the key benefits to being an associate member is early registration and booth selection at our events which opens with our platinum-level members and then to the next levels before opening to nonmembers. There is no doubt that the opportunity to partner with its municipal utilities is increasing as the marketplace continues to change with areas such as broadband, solar, storage etc. becoming more prominent. They couldn’t keep moving forward without the help of our associate members who provide services and products to them. Thank you for being there to meet their needs along the way.
TMEPA hopes you will help them by providing articles on your company for our Associate Member Spotlight section in our TMEPA Daily News Clips. This is a great opportunity to inform its members about your services at no additional cost. With each member level, you can provide more articles which are listed on the attached application. Also, there is the opportunity to advertise directly to its members in our news clips. TMEPA’s members have given us feedback that this is a great service and enjoy the daily news feed and the spotlight articles.
