Atoka, TN Fast Charger Ribbon Cutting

Local officials and representatives from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), the Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation (STEMC), the South Tipton Chamber of Commerce, and the Town of Atoka gathered for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new electric vehicle charging station in Atoka, Tennessee. The station, located at 10772 US-51 (Comfort Inn and Suites south parking lot), signifies a collaborative effort to promote sustainable transportation options in the region.

Mission: Drive Electric Memphis is a group of electric vehicle enthusiasts educating and advocating for choice in vehicle ownership and charging options.

Story: The Mid-South EV Club has operated for more than 10 years and managed events in the greater Memphis area during the initial period of EV growth. A new initiative in 2024 led to the development of Drive Electric Memphis, which will partner with and build upon the great initiatives the EV club has done to increase EV awareness and education throughout the area.
